Kathryn VanArragon (Bunker Hills GC) has made history yet again as the youngest winner in the 20 year history of the Minnesota Women’s State Open, held August 10-11, 2020 at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, Minnesota.

VanArragon, who finished Round 1 in seventh place at +2, had a little struggle on the front 9, shooting a 39, but it came together for her on the back with two birdies and only one bogey for 34. She finished both rounds with a 73, for a two day score 146 (+4).

Round 1 leader Taylor Ledwein (New Prauge GC), ran into some problems on the back 9, including 2 lost balls and multiple bogies. Ledwein ultimately two-putted the 18^th hole to finish with a triple-bogey. She would end up shooting a two-day score 70-77-147 to finish +5.

Lisa Grimes (Alexandria GC) was the low professional, finishing tied for third place. Grimes finished at +6, carding 72-76-148.
