The 2020 ‘Sota Series Match Play Champions are Camille Kuznik of Orono, Minn. and Carson Herron of Deephaven, Minn. The three-day event was played July 20-22 at the Legacy Course at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, Minn.

Kuznik’s rounds included a 6&5 win over Nicki Son of Bemidji, 4&3 over Emily Renner of Victoria, 5&4 over Madi Hicks, also of Victoria, and won her final match up against Shelby Busker of Detroit Lakes 3&2.

Herron’s rounds had wins over Jonathon Essen of New Hope 3&2, Jack Wellen of Blaine 1 Up, Carter Korkowski of Lino Lakes 4&3, Nick Lechtenberg of Stewartville 6&4, Leo Gellert of North Mankato 5&4, and the final match against Ryan Stendahl of Maple Grove 2 Up

Both champions came off a win from the previous week against Team Wisconsin as members of Team Minnesota in the 23rd Annual MN/WI Cup Matches played in Stevens Point, Wisc.
