KPMG Women’s PGA Championship June 18-23, 2019

Remember the 2016 Ryder Cup? No one who attended the three-day firework display will forget the best spectator-sporting event of all time in the Twin Cities. Hazeltine National Golf Club solidified its Hall Of Fame status during those glory days in the fall of 2016. None of the gallery of 250,000 really cared if they could see every shot, they were part of a bigger than life happening.
Hazeltine National was developed in the early 1960’s with a mission to “host major golf championships.” Starting with the 1966 U.S. Women’s Championship, Hazeltine has lived up to its mission statement. Over the past 50 years, Hazeltine has been the venue for 10 major golf championships, including the 2016 Ryder Cup. That Ryder Cup raised the bar to a new level for championship golf. The combination of the experienced PGA of America staff, a willing Hazeltine membership and a golf crazy state caused the 2016 Ryder Cup to exceed all expectations.
The result: The Ryder Cup will return to Hazeltine National Golf Club in 2028.
Minnesota golf fans don’t have to wait until 2028 to witness championship golf at Hazeltine. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship – a collaboration between the PGA of America, LPGA, and KPMG – is one of five Major Championships and will be played in Minnesota for the first time in the event’s long history. The best women golfers in the world will compete on the sacred grounds of Hazeltine National Golf Club June 18-23, 2019. The Championship, which will be broadcast in partnership with NBC and Golf Channel, provides a purse among the highest in women’s golf.
Tickets Now On Sale!
Renee DeLosh, Championship Director for the 2019 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, recently announced that ticket sales to the general public for the Championship are now on sale. Renee, who has called Minnesota home for several years, remarked, “We understand the passion of golf fans here in Minnesota. With that passion in mind, the Championship is allowing golf fans to purchase tickets a year in advance. With that lead time, fans will have plenty of time to make plans, invite out of town guests or schedule vacation time at work.”
Renee commented on the difference between an event like the Ryder Cup and a Women’s Major Championship. “Fans will immediately notice the intimacy of a woman’s golf championship. The 2019 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship offers spectators an entertaining atmosphere for fans of all ages, with unmatched accessibility to the game’s top players in the world and at one of the country’s premier courses.”
By far, the best value for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship is the Weekly Grounds Ticket Package. For the price of a dinner out, $100, golf fans will have access to the grounds of historic Hazeltine National for all six days. “Fans who spend all week at Hazeltine watching these great women players play practice rounds, hone their skills on the practice range and compete during the Championship will develop a new appreciation for women’s golf. I expect there will be some new favorites developed during the week.” You can visit www.kpmgwomenspga.com to review all ticket options.
The Tuesday or Wednesday Grounds ticket may be purchased for $20/ticket. Tuesday is the Pro-Am and Wednesday is the practice round.
“Good Any One Day” Flex Grounds ticket are available for $40/ticket. These Flex tickets provide the holder with access to the grounds of Hazeltine National Golf Club for any one (1) day of the Championship (Tuesday-Sunday), giving flexibility to the ticket holder on which day to attend. Flex tickets make great Christmas or birthday presents.

Each ticketed adult will be permitted four (4) junior daily tickets at no additional charge. Junior tickets can be picked-up at the Admissions and Will Call Office onsite the day of attendance.

The event brings together top women in business, politics, and sports with the next generation of women leaders to inspire them in their advancement and development. The KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit will return during 2019 Championship week and will be held on-site at Hazeltine.
