The 23rd Minnesota/Wisconsin Cup Matches took place July 16-17 at Stevens Point Country Club in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. With a final score of 22-14, Team Minnesota was able to take home their fifth straight victory.

At the end of the first round of Four-Ball play, Team Minnesota had a 7.5 to 4.5 point lead over Team Wisconsin. Individual Match Play in round two would keep Team Minnesota in the lead, winning 8 of 12 girls matches and 7 of 12 boys matches.

We wouldn’t be able to continue this great tradition without the support of all the parents and families, the amazing host facilities, and our counterparts at the Wisconsin Junior Golf Foundation! Thank you all for providing excellent playing opportunities for these juniors!

In 1998 the Minnesota and Wisconsin PGA Sections formed an event called the Minnesota-Wisconsin PGA Junior Cup Matches. The event consists of the two sections selecting a team of 12 boys and 12 girls to represent their section in a Ryder Cup-type event. The playing formats are four-ball matches and individual singles matches. The Minnesota Section has now won the matches 10 times; the Wisconsin Section has won 12 times and tied once.
