47th Annual Lombardi Golf Classic

For 47 years, celebrities from the sports and entertainment fields hit the links for the fight against cancer at the annual Vince Lombardi Golf Classic. As one of the oldest two-day charity golf events in the United States, the Vince Lombardi Golf Classic doesn't just have history; it has tradition.
Bob Hope and President Gerald Ford helped establish the tradition and mystique of the Vince Lombardi Golf Classic in the 1970s and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation is proud to carry on the legacy of Coach Vince Lombardi today. As the veteran sportswriter Bud Lea wrote in the Packer Plus, "This is all about helping thousands win battles that no longer serve as automatic defeats, the way they did 40 years ago."
The first Vince Lombardi Golf Classic was held in 1971 with the purpose of raising money for cancer in memory of Coach Vince Lombardi, who died of colon cancer in 1970. Today, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation has a board, committee members, volunteers and donors who give their time, talent, energy and personal resources toward the goal of defeating cancer in the true Lombardi spirit of excellence. With the help of this amazing team, the Foundation has raised more than $19 million to fund leading- edge cancer research and compassionate care at Aurora Health Care.
The Lombardi Golf Classic, presented by Annex Wealth Management, will be held June 9-10, 2017. This two day event kicks off at North Hills Country Club on Friday with a breakfast and practice round for all participants. The day wraps up with the Lombardi Golf Gala at the Pfister Hotel where eager golfers receive their celebrity pairing announcements. The big event then kicks off Saturday morning with a 5-man shotgun scramble! For just $10 spectators of all ages are welcome to come out to watch the legendary golf tournament and receive a souvenir program where they can have celebrities like Mason Crosby, Jerry Kramer, Jordy Nelson, Dan Jansen, Bob Uecker, Bonnie Blair and many more sign.
This event would not be a success without our fellow teammates. Join our team and help us tackle cancer.
