Keeping Your Game In Shape During The Winter Months

By Jimmy Rockelman

One of the most difficult things about being an avid golfer in the Midwest area is putting the clubs in the closet for months and then starting back at it when the snow melts. This winter help keep your swing in check by leaving a few clubs out and doing some productive work on your swing indoors. Indoor practice facilities, simulators, and doing some work at home will help to keep you sharp and excited for the spring. Here are a few things you can work on at home.

Get setup in front of a mirror to maintain or improve you golfing posture. (Picture 1)

Face the mirror to work on proper shoulder tilt, feet width, and ball position. (Picture 2)

While at the gym increase the amount of time stretching your hamstrings, hip flexors, and spine rotation.

Make very slow swings in the mirrors working with a weighted club, there are many available on the market.
