Breezy Point Vacations…Exclusive And All Inclusive

By Gordy Ginsberg

If all you ever wanted to do on vacation was just show up and not have to worry about a thing then I suggest you consider a Breezy Point all inclusive golf vacation. Already known as one of the Brainerd Lakes area’s finest resorts, Breezy Point has upped the ante with their exclusive all inclusive resort packages. No other area resort offers this same type of vacation. Whether you take advantage of the popular golf plan or the new all inclusive social plan, you won’t be disappointed.

When Breezy Point says all inclusive they mean it. Their golf package includes lodging, unlimited golf with cart on either of their two courses, three meals a day in the beautiful Marina II restaurant, as well as beverages at the Dockside Lounge, Marina II and even on the golf course. In addition, wine and alcoholic drinks are part of the package during your stay. A mid-week three day two night golf package is under $300 (double occupancy) through July 1.

Dave Gravdahl, General Manager at Breezy Point, pointed out that “We are going on the 4th or 5th year for the (all inclusive) golf package and this is the first year for the social package.” Gravdahl said that the mid-week golf package has been very popular and the weekends often sell out. The popularity of all inclusive travel is due in large part to the fact that visitors know in advance what the total cost of their vacation will be. All rates, gratuities and taxes are clearly spelled out at the time of your reservation.

What really sets Breezy Point apart according to Mr. Gravdahl is the quality dining experience at the new Marina II restaurant. “The restaurant at Marina II includes seafood, like lobster tail, and 16 ounce New York Strip premium K.C. brand dry aged steaks”. He went on to say that all inclusive patrons are free to order “anything off the menu.” This will give you plenty to choose from as the menu features everything from burgers to pasta and crab legs to walleye. As you can tell, this is not your everyday all inclusive dining experience. This year a new food and beverage manager plus an award winning chef will head the restaurant effort. General Manager Gravdahl says the quality and service will be better than ever. He continued, “I think we’ve got the nicest restaurant of any resort in Minnesota”.

If you have not been to Breezy Point recently you will be amazed by the new Marina II building. The main floor is lakeside and features the enormous Dockside Lounge. This is a combination sports bar/restaurant by day and lively pub at night. The food here is casual fare and geared perfectly to the drive up boating crowd and those wanting to enjoy a meal on the expansive dockside deck. Gravdahl said “This year we will have entertainment seven nights a week in the lounge”. There is also the famous “Elvis” tribute shows put on by Chris Olson throughout the summer. The second level Marina II restaurant is where breakfast and dinner are served. This warm and inviting room offers near 180 degree views of the lake through its wall of windows. The stone fireplace, inviting colors, rich woodwork and handmade cabinetry echo the north woods feel of the surrounding lakes and forests. The third level of this beautiful building is designed for event and conference space. It offers the same great view as the other floors. Rooms come in various sizes and configurations making this a perfect spot for corporate gatherings, family functions and get-togethers of any kind.

When you are not eating or out on the golf course there are still plenty of ways to relax or stay active. For boaters, the resort has a full line up of motorized craft from pontoons to fishing boats. For those seeking a bit more exercise, kayaks, canoes and paddleboats are available for rent. In addition, the beach is great for swimming or sunning and there also are four tennis courts for resort guests. If the weather is not cooperating, or you are looking for some fun, there is plenty to do indoors at the Breezy Center. A dip in the pool, the Jacuzzi or sauna may be just the way to unwind after a long day on the links. If you need to settle a bet then the game room provides ping pong, pool tables and video games to decide a winner. If you still haven’t had enough then finish your day with a trip to the exercise room and enjoy its perfect view of the lake.

Whether you come to Breezy Point for an all inclusive stay, or any one of their other great vacation offerings, you will not be disappointed. The resort has a myriad of lodging options, great dining, lakeside location, two golf courses, marina and more than enough entertainment to keep you coming back for more.
