Keller Golf Course

As you drive up to Keller Golf Course you feel the nostalgic presence of the historic clubhouse perched high above the parking lot and golf course. The present day golf shop is located at the first tee, so plan on getting to the course early so you can enjoy the “time warp” clubhouse that now serves as the bar and restaurant. More than a place to eat and drink, this classic clubhouse is an unofficial museum of golf history. Keller Golf Course has been the home of too many PGA and LPGA championships to list. When you step on the first tee you will be walking in the foot prints of Sam Snead, Doug Sanders, Patty Berg and Nancy Lopez. The Wall Street Journal has named Keller Golf Course as one of ten public golf courses in the United States that has “earned a local hero status similar to that achieved by Pebble Beach Golf Course.”

When Paul N. Coates, Golf Course Architect, designed the golf course that was to serve as the venue for the 1930 PGA National Championship, the oak tree that guards the 4th green was just a sapling….not so today! The design of Keller Golf Course has stood the test of time with only minor changes to the original design. The small, tough greens and not so subtle elevation changes keep you on your toes but good shots are rewarded.

In the grill after your round with a beer in your hand, listen to the conversation of salty old characters that frequent this historic place. Golf is definitely spoken here. Soon you will come to understand why Keller has the best Men’s Club in town.
